Abstract
The polarization switching characteristics of optoelectronic ceramics were investigated. The transparent ceramics were prepared by hot-pressing technique. The switching time t, were 86μs, 105μs and 125μs at 30°C for PZT 65/35, PLZT 5/65/35 and PLLZT 10/65/35 ceramics, respectively. The electric field dependence of switching time can be described by a well-known formula ts = KE−n . Nonlinear optical characteristics of PLLZT X/70/30 ceramics were examined. An intense SHG light was observed for the first time in these ceramics under the pumping by a Q-switched Nd glass laser light with high repetition rate. A conversion efficiency of about 0.16% was obtained at 13MW pumping power.
