Abstract
Installed generating reserve requirements may be determined from both single-area and two-area loss-of-load probability studies. An example system is used to introduce the results of a single-area study and to illustrate the interpretations. A general procedure for including load uncertainties is traced for the example, and the results are analyzed. Keywords
