Pregnancy in Cushing's Syndrome

Abstract
Stillborn premature infants were delivered by 2 patients with Cushing's syndrome due to adrenal adenoma. The adrenals of both infants were markedly small due to premature involution of the fetal cortical zones. Although the urinary 17-KS excretion and the plasma 17-OHCS concentration may be increased in uncomplicated pregnancy, absence of diurnal variation of the elevated plasma 17-OHCS and increased urinary excretion of 17-OHCS confirmed the presence of Cushing's syndrome.
