Abstract
Research conducted on educationally high-risk and nonrisk children revealed not only quantitative differences between the two populations, but also a range of qualitative differences which characterized the high-risk group. This study describes the factors which qualitatively differentiate the risk- and nonrisk groups. Hall and Keogh also discuss the implications of these identified qualitative characteristics for assessment and intervention. Keywords
