Abstract
A case of Chromobacterium violaceum fatal septicemia is reported. The microorganism was isolated from six blood cultures and two suppurated skin lesions. It is the first such case described in Argentina, and it reinforces the need for prolonged treatment and careful clinical evaluation to ensure complete remission of human infections caused by this bacterium. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
