Abstract
Within the framework of light-cone algebra, it is shown that it is possible to obtain the electromagnetic mass shift to be finite by requiring that the contribution from the leading light-cone singularity of the current commutator to the absorptive part of the electroproduction be manifestly gauge-invariant to order .
