Abstract
We investigate the scaling function in the asymptotic limit of inclusive scattering for cases where the interactions contain a hard core. For a particle bound in a potential we give an analytic expression for the correction to the standard impulse approximation result. For the response of a many-body system the same correction is obtained as a finite multiple-scattering series. The approach to the asymptotic limit is studied numerically in a simple model. Keywords
