Abstract
For many biotechnological applications a quantitative and label-free detection of biomolecular interactions is becoming of outstanding importance. The here presented analytical description of the direct charge detection by field effect devices introduces a straightforward tool for quantitative analysis. By combined measurements of the pH and electrolyte concentration response the absolute amount of adsorbed surface charge can now be determined. Keywords
