Abstract
A new and satisfactory method for the in vitro production of C. immitis spherules is described. This method consists of a tissue culture medium composed of rooster serum, chick embryo extract and Tyrode''s solution placed in special culture tubes, and exposed to controlled conditions of temperature and air components. To prevent reversion to the vegetative phase of the life cycle, the medium had to be replenished after 48 hours. Keywords
