Quasielastic pion scattering and recoil-nucleon charge exchange

Abstract
A semiclassical model for the observation of recoil protons in quasielastic pion scattering near the (3, 3) resonance is described. We show that the to ratio is enhanced by large factors at low proton energies by charge exchange of the recoil nucleon.
