Abstract
A shortening of fluorescence lifetimes has been observed upon application of a magnetic field and is a function of the vibrational level of the upper electronic state and of magnetic field strengths. A suggested process is predissociation, due to mixing by the magnetic field of a repulsive state with the B state.
