Abstract
Purified xanthine oxidase inhibited growth of certain bacteria, mostly anaerobic and facultative anaerobic types devoid of catalase. This effect was produced through generation of H2O2 in the substrate by the enzyme system. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
