Elastic Scattering of 5-10-MeV Protons from Aligned

Abstract
The scattering of protons from an aligned target [] is analyzed to obtain an estimate of the nuclear quadrupole moment or, equivalently, the nuclear deformation parameter . The data are in resonable agreement with the result derived from Coulomb excitation measurements.
