Abstract
An integrated polarization compensator for wavelength-division-multiplexed waveguide demultiplexers is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. It is simple to fabricate, has many advantages over previously reported polarization compensation schemes, and is effective in both etched diffraction grating and arrayed waveguide grating based devices. Keywords
