Magnetoresistance and critical field measurements on the magnetic superconductor Y4Co3

Abstract
The resistance and magnetoresistance of the intermetallic magnetic superconductor Y4Co3 were measured in the temperature range 1.74-4.2K and in fields of up to 1.1 T. The authors extracted the slope of the upper critical field near the superconducting transition, and the specific heat coefficient gamma . The main conclusions are that the superconducting state is fully quenched just above the transition temperature, and that the authors are dealing with a dirty superconductor. Moreover, the specific heat coefficient gamma calculated from theory is in good agreement with the experimental value.
