The selective inhibition of cholinesterases

Abstract
The inhibitory action of BB''-dichlorodi-ethyl-N-methylamine on the true and pseudo-cholinesterases of brain, erythrocytes, and plasma was studied using both acetylcholine and Mendel''s specific substrates, and the effects compared with those produced by diisopropyl fluorophosphonate and eserine. BB-dichlorodiethyl-N-methylamine was shown to be a selective inhibitor of the true enzyme.
