Abstract
A ratio of 1-lin counter clockwise -clockwise rotation of the gliding cells of Vitreoscilla catenula and V. stereoraria was noted. The direction of rotation in these gliding organisms in contrast to that of flagellated organisms is a matter of chance. Keywords
