Abstract
A substantially improved description of published electron-tunneling spectra from Sn is obtained by taking account of a probable surface proximity layer in the junctions studied. The results satisfactorily describe the superconducting properties of Sn within the conventional framework of strong electron-phonon coupling theory, with , .
