Abstract
Based on known histopathologic features, as well as clinical and etiopathogenic information, a classification of chronic gastritis is proposed. The following types are described: superficial gastritis, diffuse antral gastritis, postgastrectomy (reflux) gastritis, diffuse corporal atrophic gastritis, and multifocal atrophic gastritis. The histopathologic features are illustrated, and the main clinical features are discussed. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
