Abstract
Addition of nicotinic acid monoethylamide to the diet of young rats produces no significant alteration in the size of the liver or in its composition. Since neither nicotinamide nor nicotinic acid monoethylamide have any effect on the liver size it is concluded that disubstitution of the amide nitrogen, as in nikethamide, is essential. Keywords
