Abstract
Using some special methods of choosing a coordinate system and calculating the matrix, we have derived a general analytical formula for the oscillator strength and absorption coefficient as functions of the sample growth direction and the anisotropic effective masses for a normal-incident-radiation detector based on an X- and L-valley quantum well. The conditions of absorption optimization are given and discussed. Keywords
