Abstract
A classification of the Loculoascomycetes is presented in the form of dichotomous keys to 58 families in 8 orders [Myriangiales, Asterinales, Dothideales, Chaetothyriales, Verrucariales, Hysteriales, Pleosporales and Melanommatales]. The new families, CHAETOTHYRIACEAE, FENESTELLACEAE, PARMULARIACEAE, PHAEOSPHAERIACEAE, PIEDRAIACEAE, PLEOMASSARIACEAE, PYRENOPHORACEAE, TUBEUFIACEAE and VENTURIACEAE are described or are validated. For each family, the type genus is designated and representative genera are indicated. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
