Abstract
Growth hormone in a dose which regularly leads to hyper-glycemia and glycosuria in normal tube-fed rats has no such effect in saline or deoxycorticosterone acetate maintained tube-fed adrenalectomized rats. Treatment with subdiabetogonic doses of cortisol restores the h erglycemic response to growth hormone in adrenalectomized rats. These results are compared to previous studies of growth hormone effects f irenalectomized cats and dogs. Keywords
