Abstract
Reaction of oven‐dried potato starch with either aluminum or arsenic(III) chlorides results in the formation of aluminum and arsenic(III) starchates in which remain OAlCl2 and OAsCl2 as well as OAl(Cl)O and OAs(Cl)O moieties, respectively. The reactions are accompanied by dextrinization of starch leading to compounds slowly hydrolyzing in water. Keywords
