Abstract
The increased concentrations of neutral lipids and enzymes, such as succinic dehydro-genase and alkaline phosphatase were localized in hypervascularized corpora lutea in alloxan diabetic rats. There was a decrease in the concentration of cholesterol, ascorbic acid, and the acid phosphatase activity, under similar conditions. These changes in the cytoplasmic constituents of lutein tissues indicate the hyperfunctioning condition of these tissues which was possibly produced by the hyperactivity of the pituitary luteotrophin as induced in alloxan diabetes. Keywords
