Abstract
We use certain qualitative features of quantum chromodynamics in the framework of a potential model in order to obtain a number of inequalities and equalities among the masses of ground-state hadrons. Of those relations which have been tested experimentally, every one is in agreement with the data within the experimental errors. Keywords
