Abstract
Given the growing prominence of total quality management (TQM) in health care, a survey was conducted among the executives of the hospitals in northern Louisiana. While most of the findings confirm conventional TQM wisdom, others are somewhat surprising. The findings lead to implications for hospital management, as well as suggestions for TQM research opportunities. Keywords
