Effect of Various Chemical Agents Affecting Permeability of the Mucosa on the Formation of Ulcers

Abstract
Cannulated loops of jejunum in dogs were examined grossly and microscopically after injection of substances which increase permeability of the mucosa to insulin. When hydrochloric acid and pepsin were introduced simultaneously with calgon, pinacol and hexylresorcinol, marked ulceration resulted.
