Abstract
The short‐ as well as the intermediate‐ and long‐time behavior of velocity‐dependent pair‐time correlation functions are calculated, with the aid of a kinetic theory that is an extension of the Lorentz–Enskog equation. The numerical solution to this equation reproduces molecular‐dynamics simulation results reasonably well for all times at an intermediate density, and up to a few mean free times at high density. At high densities and long times the solution of a Smoluchowski equation gives an accurate description. Keywords
