Abstract
The vacuum-polarization contribution to the two-loop ground-state self-energy of hydrogenic ions is calculated with an exact Dirac-Coulomb propagator. Agreement at low Z with previous calculations is found and predictions for the effect at high Z are presented. © 1996 The American Physical Society. Keywords
