Abstract
In this review the author suggests some criteria of ageing which could be applied as tests of ageing, particularly to measure acceleration of ageing by radiation. The similarities and differences between natural and radiation-accelerated ageing are discussed. The author concludes that even if the correlations between natural and accelerated ageing are not as good as expected, much useful information on the physiology of senescence will accrue. Keywords
