Abstract
Fission probabilities are presented for a series of Pu, Cm, and Cf nuclei with neutron numbers, , in the range of 150-154. Results show that the fission thresholds are slowly varing with and for but there is a strong decrease in the threshold for . For () the results indicate broad, strong resonances at ∼ 5.0 and 5.4 MeV and suggest the breakup of the first axially asymmetric saddle into two barriers with large .
