Abstract
The influence of external magnetic fields on the energy and width of compensation walls in ferrimagnetic garnets of nonuniform magnetization has been investigated. Solutions for the angle between the direction of the applied magnetic field normal to the film plane and the magnetization in the wall have been obtained numerically where both the uniaxial and the cubic anisotropies were taken into account. The wall energy is shown to increase and the wall width to decrease with increasing magnetic field. Keywords
