Abstract
A putative origin of DNA replication is associated with the DNA sequences necessary for the repression of silent mating type loci in yeast [Saccharomyces cerevisiae]. These sequences lie about a kilobase away from the affected promoters, so the repression must act at a distance. DNA replication is required for the onset of repression. This publication has 38 references indexed in Scilit:
