Electron capture by Lii+(i=2,3), Ni+and Nei+(i=2,3,4,5) ions from atomic hydrogen

Abstract
Cross section measurements are reported for electron capture by multiply charged lithium, nitrogen and neon ions from atomic hydrogen. The ion energies depend on the ion charge state i and typically range from 3i keV to 12i keV. Experimental technique and resulting uncertainties are discussed in detail. Good agreement is obtained with published experimental results where comparison is possible. Discrepancies are observed, however, in comparison with available theoretical calculations.
