Abstract
The frequency variation spectrometer described earlier by one of the authors has been completed to cover three octaves from 2 to 16 GHz. This spectrometer is used to measure the zero-field splittings of trivalent gadolinium in yttrium vanadate and yttrium phosphate. Keywords
