Abstract
Novel effects on the magnetic-field-induced localization in low-density samples of n-type Te at low temperatures are reported. Anisotropic activation of the longitudinal and transverse resistances is observed at low fields. In an intermediate field range, the anomalous behavior of the transverse and Hall resistances indicates a low-temperature correlated electron liquid phase. At still a higher field, localization of the carriers is observed.
