Abstract
The results of these studies suggest that a significant proportion of patients classified as having inactive tuberculosis by current standards are actually still infectious. In any attempt to eradicate tuberculosis, it will be necessary to detect these hidden positives by very sensitive culture techniques. The benzalkonium chloride (Zephiran)-trisodium phosphate method is one such technique.Keywords
