Abstract
An increased rate of aldosterone production after induction of aminonucleoside nephrosis in rats was confirmed. After short-term treatment with cortisone acetate, in dosage of 350 and 500 [mu]/day, corticosterone production of both normal and nephrotic animals was decreased to 1/3 of their respective controls. Cortisone reverted increased aldosterone secretion of nephrotic rats to normal; this was accompanied by marked loss or even total disappearance of ascites. Keywords
