Measurement of the Form-Factor Ratios for $D^{+} \to {\bar{K}}^{* 0} e^{+} ν_{e}$

Abstract

We present a measurement of the form-factor ratios

r_{V} = V (0) / A_{1} (0)

and

r_{2} {= A}_{2} (0) / A_{1} (0)

for the decay

D^{+} \to {\bar{K}}^{* 0} e^{+} ν_{e}

. The measurement is based on a signal of approximately 3000

D^{+} \to {\bar{K}}^{* 0} e^{+} ν_{e},

{\bar{K}}^{* 0} \to K^{-} π^{+}

decays reconstructed in data from charm hadroproduction experiment E791 at Fermilab. The results are

r_{V} = 1.84 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.08

and

r_{2} = 0.71 \pm 0.08 \pm 0.09

.
