Abstract
The neutral ketonic fraction from 200 ml of human sperm contained at least 3 ketosteroids reacting with m-dinitrobenzene. Column chrpmatography showed that one of these might be pregnanediol-20-one. The hydrolyzed butanol extract contained at least 4 fractions, 2 of which showed an atypical maximum in the Zimmermann reaction. The acid ketonic fractions were separated by paper chromatography into substances developing different colors with anisaldehyde. In UV light all these substances showed a maximum at 280 m[mu]. and an atypical maximum at 540-550 m[mu] in the Zimmermann reaction. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
