Abstract
An efficient numerical method for obtaining the Green's function of the Schrodinger equation is developed and used for a calculation of the dynamical polarisability in the Debye potential. Special emphasis is given to the static polarisability and its divergent behaviour near the 1s Mott condition. Keywords
