Abstract
Proteins were extracted from samples of rye grass, mixed permanent pasture grass, lawn grass and alsike clover with borate buffer or borax and after acid hydrolysis analyzed for monoamino, monocarboxylic acids. No differences were de-tected between the proteins. Wilting of the grass did not affect the composition of the protein. Ensilage produced small differences in serine and threonine only. Keywords
