Abstract
Explicit relations between the on-shell and off-shell three-body scattering and rearrangement-collision amplitudes are given. It is shown that the off-shell approach to the determination of the on-shell amplitudes is equivalent to the conventional method of taking on-shell matrix elements. As an example, the bare-potential term of the Faddeev-Watson multiplescattering expansion for rearrangement collisions is evaluated using the two alternative approaches.Keywords
