Corticosteroid or steroid allergy?

Abstract
The aim of this study was m elucidate the role of the C. OH substitucnt of the corticosteroid molecule in relation to corticonsteroids such as deoxycortisol. Progectagens. Festoster one, and estrogens. Skin tests with these substances in hydrocortisone‐allergic patients revealed a division between patients for whom the 17‐a‐OH group this essential to induec the allergic reaction and patients for whom this group did not 5Wrn to be essential. Some of the patients of the Inner group also practod lo 17‐n‐OlI‐progesteroBe, This may indicate cross‐sensitivity between hydroeortisone and 17‐a‐OH‐proigesterone, which might play un etiological role in autoimmune progesterone dermatitis.
