Weakly Localized Behavior in Quasi-One-Dimensional Li Films

Abstract
The low-temperature magnetoresistance of quench-condensed Li films of varying widths is studied in order to observe the one-dimensional localization effects first predicted by Thouless. The localization effects are dominant and clearly differentiated from other contributions to the resistivity. The roles of the various scattering mechanisms controlling the localization contribution are determined.Keywords
