Abstract
Using a heterojunction Ge-S sample, we show that the surface electric field modifies considerably the piezoreflectance spectra of germanium near the fundamental direct threshold. We show experimentally that piezomodulation is first derivative, which allows us to apply the theory of Seraphin and Aspnes.
