Abstract
In irradiated dilute Al(Cr) alloys, the trapping of aluminium self-interstitials by chromium atoms exhibits unusual features above 58K. One of the proposed interpretations implies a mobility of the resulting impurity-interstitial complex, which should result in the formation of chromium pairs. The NMR study of an Al (150 PPM Cr) alloy before and after neutron irradiation showed no detectable change in the chromium distribution. This makes the above-mentioned hypothesis unlikely. Keywords
