Abstract
A 40% reduction in the concentration of plasma free fatty acids (FFA) was observed within 30 min. after an intravenous injection of bovine growth hormone (GH) into depancreatized and Houssay dogs, but in normal animals it was only 20%. It is concluded that GH can produce an acute reduction in the concentration of plasma FFA in the complete absence of the action of insulin. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
