Abstract
The intravenous glucose tolerance curves and the concomitant changes in the serum inorganic P levels, studied in 30 patients with essential hypertension and 22 normotensive patients with a similar age distr., showed lesser fall in the serum inorganic P levels in the hypertensive than in the normotensive group. Phosphate curves in some of the hypertensive patients resembled those found in patients with diabetes mellitus. Keywords
